Unexpected May loot

I’m still alive, blog is not, though I don’t expect it to change much considering how busy I’m. However it doesn’t mean I stopped collecting. I just didn’t expect to have a big loot in May. Might or might not dig deeper in these goodies in future post, but here is an overview.

Je suis toujours vivant, mais pas le blog, et je crains hélas que cela ne continue ainsi vu comment je suis occupé en ce moment. Néanmoins, ça ne veut pas dire que j’ai arrêté de collectionner. Je m’attendais pas par contre à recevoir un gros loot en Mai. J’entrerai peut-être plus en détail dans d’autre post mais en voici le contenu.

Let start with 3 Tinkle dakimakura by K-books! They were released over previous Comiket and I managed to get them for the price of one; a rather good deal.

Commençons par 3 dakimakura par Tinkle provenant de K-books. Ils ont été vendu durant les Comiket des années précédentes, et j’ai réussi à les avoir pour le prix d’un seul; une bonne affaire.

A bit earlier, I got a rather thin artbook ( around 80 pages ) from Korea, Apple Selection vol. 6. Young-in and mintchoco made already a good reason to get it, but tearfish is icing on the cake, even though there isn’t new illustration from her unless you have never seen Alicia . Printing is detailed and you can appreciate all the details artists has put, down to the pencil lineart.

Un peu plus tôt, j’ai reçu un artbook plutôt mince ( environs 80 pages ) de Corée, Apple Selection vol. 6. Young-in et mintchoco sont déjà 2 bonnes raisons de prendre cet artbook, mais tearfish est la cerise sur le gateau, même si il n’y a pas de nouvelle illustration, à moins que vous n’ayez jamais vu Alicia. L’impression est détaillé et on peut vraiment apprécié tout les détails, jusqu’au trait au crayon.

And lastly, the doujinshi and artbook from Japan. After 4 months of searching, I finally got tearfish’s Fuyu no Mori for a lot less than the flying price of January. Then in May, it was time for COMITIA96 and COMIC1☆5. Normally, I don’t try to get anything from these events as I wait for Comiket, and if I didn’t get Fuyu no Mori, I don’t think I would have get anything, but since I always group shipping, the loot had to get bigger. First, I caught back a bit with Tsukigami Luna‘s older doujinshi, girlishgene, and LX/ES. From COMIC1, Tinkle’s set, doujinshi + large shitajiki. Standard from them, but still awesome. From COMITIA, I got Fuzi Choko maybe first doujinshi, Fuji Shiki, a gorgeous 60 pages full colour book with impressive printing quality ( no visible screening ). She is a young artist, maybe around 20 years, but her work is already quite popular, making it to the cover of the Pixiv Girls Collection 2011.

Et finalement, les doujinshis et artbook du Japon. Après 4 mois de recherche, j’ai enfin eu Fuyu no Mori de tearfish, et pour beaucoup moins que les prix exorbitant de Janvier. Ensuite en Mai, c’était la période du COMITIA96 et COMIC1☆5. En temps normale, je n’achète rien provenant de ces conventions, comme j’attend le Comiket, et si je n’avais pas pris Fuyu no Mori, il n’y aurait pas eu de loot, mais bon, comme je préfère grouper pour les frais de ports, il fallait faire grossir! J’ai d’abord rattrapé mon retard avec les doujinshis de Tsukigami Luna, girlishgene et LX/ES.Du COMIC1, j’ai pris le set de Tinkle, un doujinshi + un grand shitajiki. C’est la norme chez eux, mais c’est toujours aussi beau. Provenant du COMITIA, Fuji Shiki, peut-être le premier doujinshi de Fuzi Choko. Ce livre a 60 pages d’illustrations en couleur plus magnifique les une que les autres, le tout en haute qualité ( pas de tramage visible ). Elle est peut-être une jeune artiste ( 20 ans ), mais elle est déjà très populaire, faisant la couverture du Pixiv Girls Collection 2011

And from some unknown event, the ESHI 100, I have gazed my eyes upon one of the most beautiful collection of artwork from different artist. You know you can’t be wrong when Tinkle is featured. 100 artists are presented through more than 200 high quality pages, and in the simplest manner. 1 page for their new illustrations especially made for the book with “Japan” as a theme, and another with artist name, artwork title, and comments, both in Japanese and English. This book is simply a sublimed version of the 100 Master of Bishoujo Painting, with an impressive of big name: Noizi Itoh, CARNELIAN, Suzuhira Hiro, KEI, Mikeou, Kuramoto Kaya, Naru Nanao, ko~cha, Amane Soh, Shiro and more. You can still get it from there, but don’t expect to get the cover signed by Misaki Kurehito.

Et puis, venant d’une convention inconnu, le ESHI 100, mon regard a pu se poser sur ce que je pense être l’une des plus belle collection d’artwork de différent artist. On est toujours entre de bonne main quand Tinkle est parmis les artistes. 100 artistes, présenté à travers plus de 200 pages de haute qualité, et de la manière la plus simple. Une page avec leur nouvelle oeuvre faite spécialement pour le livre sur le thème du “Japon”, et une autre avec le nom de l’artiste, le titre de l’oeuvre, et leur commentaire, en Japonais et en Anglais. Ce livre est simplement une version sublimé des 100 Master of Bishoujo Painting avec une liste d’artiste impressionante: Noizi Itoh, CARNELIAN, Suzuhira Hiro, KEI, Mikeou, Kuramoto Kaya, Naru Nanao, ko~cha, Amane Soh, Shiro et bien d’autre encore. C79 : wallet killer

You hear that sound? It’s my wallet, screaming of agonyyyyy *ahem*. I have been pretty tame lately on buying stuff, but I don’t think I will be able to resist. Notably for this Comiket, lots of information got on Pixiv, and I’m quite happy to see some new artist participating for the first time!!! Contrary to last year, I will keep it short, meaning I will post mostly what I’m interested in ( but considering that it’s Comiket, it will certainly get long and it’s going to kill my wallet ). Contrary to last time I won’t cover everything since I’m not featuring this on another website and I don’t have much time to spend with my family per year. Also, there is a certain tendency in this post for me to have interest in artist I have recently discovered or have no/little work from yet. This certainly means I will skip usual suspect like Kantoku this year. For a wider coverage, you can check icie’s articles

Vous entendez ce son? C’est mon porte monnaie à l’agonie *ahem*. Bref, j’ai été plutôt calme sur les dépenses récemment mais je ne crois pas que je puisse résister à l’appelle du C79. Ce Comiket est riche, plein d’informations sur Pixiv, et je suis très content de voir que certain artiste y participe pour la première fois! Contrairement à l’année dernière, je vais essayer de garder ce post plutôt court, donc c’est seulement ce qui m’intéresse ici ( mais on parle du Comiket, donc ça va surement être long, au grand désespoir de mon porte monnaie ). Par conséquent, je ne couvrirais pas tous, puisque je me limite à mon site uniquement, et que j’ai pas beaucoup de temps. Je préfère le passer en famille puisque je la vois que très rarement dans l’année. Aussi, j’ai une certaine tendance ici à m’intéresser à des artistes que j’ai découvert récemment où dont je n’ai pas ou très peu d’oeuvre. Goto-P is releasing a B5 20 pages doujinshi in full color. As the title imply, theme is Italy. I never got any doujinshi from him/her so this might be my first.

Goto-P publiera un doujinshi de 20 pages B5 en couleur. Comme le titre l’implique, le thème de ce dernier est l’Italie. Je n’ai jamais eu de doujinshi par lui donc ça sera peut-être mon premier.

Kishida Mel is present, with a 16 pages full color doujinshi. I have said in an older article that I don’t own any book from him, so I really want to get one. Once again, his doujinshi is quite dependent of the season, so I expect winter illustration.

sino is releasing 28 pages doujinshi in full color, with only new illustrations. One more artist which I like the artstyle, yet never got anything.

sino publiera un doujinshi de 28 pages en couleur, et il y aura seulement que des nouvelles illustrations. C’est encore un de ces artistes dont j’aime le style mais dont je ne possède aucune oeuvre.

WNB Mark is releasing their usual 20 pages B5 full colour doujinshi. Sometimes I get,sometimes I don’t, this time I get ! And like always, it’s on Toranoana.

WNB Mark publiera comme d’habitude, un doujinshi de 20 pages B5 en couleur. Parfois je prend, parfois non, cette fois ci le je prend. Et comme toujours, c’est dispo chez Toranoana.

Nyanya is releasing a set for this Comiket. I already have one doujinshi, and it seems like his style improved since the last one. 24p in colors, I’m in.( sadly can’t read the rest )

Tiv is yet another artist which I like but don’t have anything… you get the idea. Her doujinshi will have 28 pages of color illustrations.

In the same vein, Kazuharu Kina an artist which I started taking interest this year, especially since he features his drawing on streaming. For instance, I watched this illustration during coloring. Well, for Comiket, 20p B5, in color. His previous doujinshi will also be available.

Dans le même genre, Kazuharu Kina un artiste qui a commencé à m’intéresser que cette année, surtout grâce à ses streamings de dessin. Par exemple, j’ai regardé l’artiste en action sur le dessins ci-dessus. Enfin bref, pour le Comiket, 20 pages B5 en couleur, et ses anciens doujinshi seront également dispo.

Cuteg is there. Not much information, except that it’s going to be Angelism ( sweet name :p ), Cuteg Girl’s Collection 3.0, and that K-on will be somehow featured.

Capura Lin seems to be alternating between Touhou and original illustration, and this time, it’s again original. Capriccio, 20 pages B5, full color.

Dhiea is a Chinese artist. According to the data on Toranoana, she ( unknown gender, sounds female = female lol) started drawing when she was 16, and now she is 18, publishing her doujnishi. I have know her first by Pixiv. Never seen her outside of it. For the Comiket, she is reliease “the equinoctial line”, 40 pages, color illustation. It’s available at Toranoana

D’après les infos que j’ai pu récupérer sur Toranoana, elle a commencé à l’âge de 16 ans et maintenant elle en a 18 et publie son premier doujinshi. Je l’ai connu tout d’abord sur Pixiv, et je ne l’ai jamais vu en dehors. Pour le Comiket, elle publiera “the equinoctial line”, 40 pages d’illustrations en couleur. Yashiro Seika continues his series of doujinshi, this time with Stella. 16 pages in color, and certainly again, in weird format. Previous doujinshi will also be available.

Nardack is present! I don’t remember her participating in a previous Comiket. It seems like her doujinshi will be full of original illustration, so must get.

Nardack est présente! Je ne me souviens pas de l’avoir vu participer à un Comiket auparavant. Ses doujinshi contiendront que des illustrations en couleur, alors je suis preneur.

tearfish is also participating! Like Nardack, I don’t remember ever seeing her at a Comiket until this one. She had collaborated with H2S04 on a Persona 4 doujinshi in the past, but this time, it’s her own doujinshi, featuring original art, Touhou, and Persona 4!

tearfish participe aussi! Tout comme Nardack, Je ne me souviens pas l’avoir vu au Comiket avant, donc c’est une première. Certe, il y a eu une collaboration avec H2S04 pour un doujinshi de Persona 4, mais là, on parle d’un doujinshi entièrement fait par elle, avec des illustrations originales, du Touhou, et du Persona 4.

C78 – Tohru Adumi, Flower Dust Crown

Once again I got a doujinshi by Tohru Adumi. First time I looked at it’s content, my reaction was “wahoo”. . It’s a very nice one; and it also came bundled with a pamphlet, filled of bishi which may have warranted the female rating on Toranoana :p. But I will take only a look at Flower Dust Crown, 30 B5 pages.

Une fois de plus j’ai pris un doujinshi de Tohru Adumi. Première impression quand je l’ai ouvert a été un “wahoo”. C’est vraiment un très jolie; et puis il est venu avec un autre petit pamphlet, plein de bishi ce qui explique peut-être pourquoi il était dans la section femme de Toranoana :p. Mais je vais seulement m’intéresser à Flower Dust Crown, 30 pages B5

Tohru Adumi is quite a mature artist since I can’t spot any change since the last time I got her goodies. Pastel colour, soft shadowing and very light style. Main colour of the book is blue and white which are 2 colors she excels at using. Aside of her doujinshi I have no idea where to grab her artwork.

Tohru Adumi est une artiste mature; je n’ai pas constaté de changement depuis la dernière fois que j’ai eu un de ses doujinshis. Des couleurs pastels, des ombres douces et puis un style très léger. Les couleurs principales de cet ouvrage est le bleu et le blanc, 2 couleurs qu’elle excelle dans leur utilisation. A part ses doujinshis, je n’ai aucune idée de comment se procurer ses illustrations.

Considering my previous review, I’m quite happy to touch again thick smooth paper. One illustration is spread on 2 pages, but the majority of the book got page spread or just 2 illustration per pages. It’s possible to see the screening with the bare eyes if you stick your eyes to the paper, but otherwise the printing is great. There is just one place I got a ink stain, which doesn’t look like it was voluntary. Might be just bad luck.

Prenant en compte ma review précédente, je suis très content de toucher de nouveau un bon papier épais et doux. Une illustration prend 2 pages, mais la majorité sont sur une seule, ou sinon 2 illustrations par pages. Il est possible de voir le tramage si on colle ses yeux aux papiers, mais sinon la qualité d’impression est très bonne. Il y a juste un endroit où j’ai comme une tache d’encre, qui n’a pas l’air d’être volontaire. C’est peut-être juste ma malchance.

To be honest, it might be my favorite doujinshi out of all the one I have gotten for this Comiket. It might be because of the surprise effect I had; I knew already the content of Kantoku’s, Tinkle’s, CUTEG’s doujinshi. On the other hand it’s so rare to get Tohru Adumi’s artwork that I’m happy when I ever get one.

Pour être franc, c’est surement mon doujinshi préféré parmi tous ce que j’ai eu pendant ce Comiket. C’est peut-être à cause de l’effet de surprise que j’ai eu; je connaissais déjà le contenu des doujinshis de Kantoku, Tinkle, CUTEG. D’un autre coté, c’est si rare de voir des illustrations de Tohru Adumi que je suis toujours content quand j’en trouve

This doujinshi is a definitive get for me. Rare artist, hard to find artwork and I like her style. For girls there is the bishi pamphlet included. As a sidenote, making reviews of what I get allows me to appreciate their content, as the amount of visual I see per day is quite important, spending time on an artbook or doujinshi is delightful.

Ce doujinshi est validé définitivement pour moi. Artiste rare, dur de trouver ses travaux et j’aime son style. Pour les filles, il y a toujours le pamphlet de bishi en plus. Sinon, juste une petite note en dehors, mais faire des reviews de ce que je reçois est ce qui me permet d’apprécier au mieux ce qu’ils sont. Comme je vois beaucoup de visuel chaque jour, prendre du temps sur un artbook ou un doujinshi est un plaisir.

C77 – Hinayuki Usa, Kairo

A bit late to the party, but during C77 I managed to get my first doujinshi by Hinayuki Usa ( Fururi ). It’s a 120 pages B5 doujinshi, featuring 32 pages of original color illustrations and the rest is monochrome. Of course I’m more interested in the color pages rather than the monochrome. There was another doujinshi, but my overdose of Touhou of course meant I didn’t get it, but you can still check Nattoli’s review.

Un peu en retard, mais pendant le C77 j’ai réussi à avoir mon premier doujinshi de Hinayuki Usa( Fururi ). Ce doujinshi contient 120 pages B5, dont 32 en couleur. Bien sûr je suis plus intéressé par les pages en couleur. Il y avait un autre doujinshi pendant le C77, mais j’ai une overdose de Touhou donc je ne l’ai pas pris. First things which is striking when holding this doujinshi, is… THE PAPER ! Read or die joke aside, the paper used in this doujinshi is incredibly thin for color illustration. It’s smooth, nice texture and the ink married correctly with it, but simply touching it is scary, as it feels like it could be easily torn, and the lack of thickness means it’s quite see through, even more than a magazine.

La première chose qui frappe quand on tient ce doujinshi, c’est le papier. Le papier utilisé est extrêmement fin, du jamais vu. C’est un peu effrayant car ça a l’air fragile et facile à déchirer. De plus, ce manque d’épaisseur flagrante fait qu’on voit à travers les pages, bien plus que dans un magazine.

First part of the color illustration involves japanese clothing, as it seems she likes the style. I wonder if she got infected by the kemonomimi syndrome of Izumi Sakurazawa as quite a few images does features ears.

One thing particular in Hinayuki’s style, is the stroke in the eyes. It seems a bit sketchy, as it’s full of line. Also, she better fit the loli style because having seen her drawn *ahem* breast… it’s too big.

La première partie des illustrations en couleur sont sur le thème des vêtements traditionnels. Il me semble que l’artiste les aime beaucoup. D’autre part, je me demande si elle n’a pas été infecté par le syndrome des kemonomimi d’Izumi Sakurazawa au vu de certaine image. Une chose particulière dans le style d’Hinayuki Usa est les yeux. Elle fait plein de trait dans les yeux ce qui donne une allure un peu de sketch plein de ligne. De plus, elle est bien meilleur pour les lolis, car la dernière fois que j’ai vu des seins dessinés par elle… c’était un peu trop gros…

Another part is dedicated to some of her artwork she did for other media. I remember seeing the twin image in the bottom left on a CD. There is also some fanart for eroge, like Little Busters!, Suiheisen Made Nan Mile? -Deep Blue Sky & Pure White Wings-.

Une autre partie est dédiée a certain de ses travaux qu’elle a fait pour d’autre support. Je me souviens d’avoir déjà vu par exemple cette illustration en bas à gauche sur une jacket de CD. Il y a aussi des fanart d’eroge, comme Little Busters! ou encore Suiheisen Made Nan Mile? -Deep Blue Sky & Pure White Wings.

And this conclude this not so thin doujin. The monochrome part is more important, and the paper used for it is similar to manga’s paper. The color part is a good compilation of her previous work, while not always full page, she used every room of the page to put them making me quite happy for a first doujinshi by her.

Et ceci conclut donc ce doujin pas si fin. La partie en monochrome est plus important et le papier est pratiquement le même que celui utilisé pour les mangas. La partie couleur est une bonne compilation de ses illustration, et bien qu’elles ne soient pas en pleine page, l’artiste a utilisé au maximum la place disponible. Je suis très content donc de ce premier doujinshi par elle.

Shiitake’s Eternal Wings

Next month I will finally have a home, till then, I just got my goodies from the Japan Expo. This year again, Shiitake was present and she signed my doujinshi! She is really a beautiful artist, and she was wearing a yukata.

Sadly no, I don’t have another photo of her booth. Anyway, she had 2 doujinshi which she had released in April, Hanaotome and Eternal Wings, 32 pages each. Hanaotome is themed around traditional clothing, meaning yukata. Eternal Wings features, well, wings. This time I took photo of the book, but not with my usual point and shot; I borrowed a Nikon D300S.

Book opens on one of her old illustration, which was featured in previous doujinshi, as well as a little message in Japanese. THe version in English, French, Korean and Chinese aren’t translation, it’s the usual description she puts for her circle when she travels.

The book is quite impressive as it’s printed in A4 format, rather than the usual B5 format and is bound by stapples. Printing is good. For this illustration thought, it seems like the copy on the right was upscaled, but that would be the only complain I will have on quality.

Most of the art seems recent, though some illustrations are from her older style.

I experimented a bit on the photo end as well, as I shot at least 5 times before being satisfied by the photos. This one is particularly bluffing as it can fool people into thinking that it’s a scan.

The end of the book got comments on each illustration as well as the rough sketch and a quick showing of her CG step by step of the cover under SAI and Photoshop.

And to be frank, I have a preference for Eternal Wing, but it’s mostly about my taste since I quite like angels and so on; and butterfly wings are beautiful as well.

C77 Round up Preview

Today, 29th, Comiket already started! Meanwhile here is another preview since anyway, most stuff will be sold on the third day. Some artist updated only today, and of course, I overlooked some as there way too many to monitor. That’s also why I suggest you to read some other preview from icie and from Ippiki Ookami. Not many artist to cover in this preview, but they are worth a look.

Frill*frill – Morinaga Korune
Nostalgic Barbie – Okazaki Anko

I think I have never seen Morinaga Korune draw something else than loli, and it seems to continue with Baby Doll Biscuit, a collaboration doujinshi with Okazaki Anko, who I have never heard of before. Both have a distinguished and recognizable artstyle, and they are rather fitting in this 20 B5 pages doujinshi. Going by past experience, it’s not going to be cheap. There is also a little set which will have a telephone cleaner, and a bonus book.

And just to verify my theory, here is one more DS case.

CHRONOLOG – Izumi Sakurazawa
Fururi – Hinayuki Usa

They must really like each other as they have yet another stand together. Now as there is quite a lot of stuff, you better check the webpage directly. So Sweet is a monochrome yuri hentai doujinshi, featuring yet again Youmu and Yuyuko.

Sakura-Rou- is a collaboration between Izumi Sakurazawa and Kijima Renga of RengaWorks, with 36 pages of black and white manga for Touhou.

Kairo is Hinayuki’s doujinshi, a huge doujinshi of 120 B5 pages, 32 in colors, the rest in monochrome. This is rather interesting as it features more color page than a thin doujinshi!

Yumemi shoujo no yume sen is her second doujinshi, with 20 pages of color illustrations for Touhou.

Then, the collaboration doujin is just a Touhou calendar to hang on your wall, with 7 sheets.

To finish, the real set will have a cute bag as shown here, and a dakimakura, one face drawn by each artist. I think that in all these goodies, I would only pick Fururi’s.

CASCADE – Hasekura Chiaki

Hasekura Chiaki has a nice set, with 2 doujinshi, Macarons Color 5, a full colour doujinshi, and Alice Mode 2, a monochrome doujinshi, featuring a manga. Then, there is some shitajiki or something like that with an hologram surface and a bag. Not on the image is Alice Mode which will be resold.

Cut a Dash! – Misato Mitsumi

Misato Mitsumi will have her traditional calendar, with 16 pages which I guess will cover a bit of 2011. It’s mostly original art, with some fanart. The rest is Roughplus, which as it’s name indicate, a doujinshi with rough art, and then, Esquise Monochrome, with monochrome illustration.

C77 Third Preview

One more preview; and it might be the last one if there is no more updates, as we getting closer to the first Comiket day. My French translation is now available at Doujinsuki. Now everyone I know has put their own articles for the upcoming Comiket, and while there is a redundancy in the information, it’s interesting to see how everyone cover it and the circle they are interested in. Also, Crescent Shop is closed until the 2nd, but I’m too lazy to make a deposit to another deputy, so I guess I will have to wait. Hoefully, I just put my pre-order before they closed ^^. Now it seems that for this third preview, I have quite a number of well known artist this time. Oh and quick warning, this post start with a pantsu collection.

Strawberry Pink – cuteg

Ok, just continuing from where I left of, since cuteg has now posted some previews for her doujinshi. Sweet Impact, is a full color doujinshi… and full of pantsu. Now the other doujinshi will have several fanart of different sources, and they all wear glasses! I will admit, I do find the Miku cute.

Tinkle

Even if I had no information, I think I would have grabbed it nevertheless, especially since Tinkle is always late for updating! First of all, the doujinshi, Bianco El Dorado, which is full color and the cover seems to use a special silver paper.

Then the set is comprised of a clear box, featuring the cover otf the doujinshi, and inside, shitajiki, one of Pinot Noir which I already had from the last JIF. Then there are clear cards. I just noticed it but on the photo, it’s not the final goodies, as they are not cut. I wonder if it’s not a preview pages; nevertheless, it seems like Tinkle put a lot of effort in the printing process. Finally, a pencil case with Black Alice.

Finally, there is some special PSP and DSi case. Last Comiket, I saw plenty of Keyboard/Mouse, for this one, I found quite a lot of case for portable console. It does look pretty nice, and sure would like something like that for my DS!

AMR – Ikegami Akane

Speaking of artist rather late to the update party, is Ikegami Akane. For this Comiket, it’s a mix of To aru Kagaku no Railgun and Vocaloid. The doujinshi is only filled with Railgun, and it seems like there is only one part in full colour, the other one being black and white.

Then the Vocaloid set.. more cute Miku with glasses. I guess I’m weak when she wears glasses ^^;. Anyway, it’s limited to Miku, Rin, and Luka, Len being a bonus plushie. So there is a paper bag, a blanket, stickers for the DSi and towel to clean screens.

Third goods is a cool Railgun pouch in microfiber. It’s sized for portable console to iPod, or phone. Now I’m not sure I will let my electronic gadgets near Railgun ^^;. But Mikoto will also be available as an oppai mousse pad… I think I will just ignore it of my image of the anime will just die.

QP:Flapper – Sakura Koharu & Ohara Tometa

No QP:Chick Colors 03 in sight. But there is QPchick16, hentai doujinshi in monochrome on Love Plus. Then there is Dramatic 2009, which collect the roughs sketches for several magazine.

Instead of a telephone card, they will sell a Web Money Card, worth 500¥. I wonder if telephone card are still used in Japan, when it’s also the country where almost everyone has cellphone. Moving to web money card seems to be a fair evolution.

Then for the end, a priceless T-Shirt. Spacecats, parodying Space Invaders. The geek inside me feels compelled; my wallet not so much.

Island of Horizon – H2S04

A very cool doujinshi, with 34 B5 pages, which will collect artwork from ~~its ( hey, it’s sulfuric acid )~~ his/her previous doujinshi, Last Summer Vacation, First Snow, Tropical Nights and 白い花びら. If I find it, I will try to get it!

Muzin Syoujo – Korie Riko

Korie Riko put her information one month ago… which consisted in this image which might be the cover. Her website is down and there is no information on her blog; so it will be my guess based on her previous doujinshi, full colour, with several fanart.

ICHIGOSIZE – Natsume Eri
Suijou Kurena

Huge image, and so little I can understand. Natsume Eri is sharing a stand with Suijou Kurena, which I have never heard of. First set has one card, 2 doujinshis which I’m not sure if they are in color or not, then a keychain, a think black and white doujinshi with certainly sketches, and something featuring Marisa ^^;. I need to train a little bit for reading these Comiket information.

Then, there is a Touhou calendar, and mug with a chibi Cirno drawn on it.

Rio Grande – Mana Mitui

Mana Mitui finally put her information, which consist in one doujinshi on Saki, with illustration, and one hentai story. Then there is another doujinshi of 60 pages, collectin sketches.
For the set, there is a bag, a handkerchief, another PSP case, a memo mouse pad, and a phone strap which can be used to clean the cellphone. The doujinshi doesn’t seem that interesting to me, but the set has some nice goodies.

Hisuitei – Izumi Tsubasu

No Colorful Pop for this Comiket, but we get a big taspestry, a shitajiki, a calendar, a stick poster all in the paper bag. The doujinshi in fact consist in MOEPOP15, which has traditionally featured black and white illustration, and Low of smile, an hentai doujinshi.

Indico Lite – Mitha

Mitha will continue her collection, with Flower Tiara 2, a full color doujinshi, but rather ecchi. Going from the past publication, there is no hentai, but only nudity. It seems like there is another doujinshi, Art Mix, but I’m not sure about it’s content, some card/poster/shitajiki, and ecchi stick posters. Finally, a “now printing”, which seem in fact to be a CG collection.

Hato no Tamago – Hato rami

Rami will sell her 19th visual book, which is another fully coloured manga. I think there might be some illustration in it, but I’m not all interested in this.

What I’m more interested in is the Galette des Rois Calendar, which will feature illustration of the web animated manga. It’s CD sized though, but I think it’s worth getting, as you can already see the illustration on the website of the manga.

For some time Rami had a Black Rock Shooter illustration for her website, and here it’s, a 8p B5 doujinshi with color illustration of Black Rock Shooter. Sadly, BRS is like Vocaloid for me :/

Finally, she will sell postcard, a gum from Galette des Rois, and her previous fully colored doujinshi from C76, Water Proof.

C77 Second Preview

Another preview for C77. I’m working in parallel with the French translation. The French one will have less circle, focusing mainly on high profiles first. I also talked about artist drawing for eroge, and eroge company do participate in Comiket. I tend to overlook them though as their set tends to be quite expensive, but nevertheless, they are good sources for artwork. We are still in the middle of the update period and it’s still slow *sigh*. I did put my preorder at Toranoana though. Also, most images I upload is resized to fit my template, but you can click on the circle/company name to get directly to the event page. Lastly, as I’m splitting the preview in several articles, you can take a look at the tags in the left sidebar and see who/what is featured.

Cuffs / Sphere / Cubes – Several artist

Cuffs is the eroge company behind Amesarasa, Sakura Musubi, Garden, and more. They always have some stuff for the Comiket, especially the wallpaper collection and calendar which feature several artist, and it seems they are also collaborating with other companies. Notably for the calendar, there is Karory, Izumi Sakurazawa, Kantoku, Gayarou, Cuteg, Natsume Eri, and for the wallpaper, H2SO4, Kurot, Darupu and moreee. I never got any of their previous collection, but I always found them really good from the rip I have seen.

Aside of this, there are some rough sketch sold, NSFW dakimakura.

Palette – Izumi Tsubasu

Contrary to Cuff, Palette only has one artist, Izumi Tsubasu, who did the illustration for their last eroge, Mashiro Iro Symphony – Love is pure white. The set is of course based on their last game, and of course, I can’t read what is written *sigh*, but it seems really nice, especially the mugs lol. I can see a paper bag, a shitajiki , and I will guess that number 3 are stickers.

Palette will also sell a dakimakura of the heroine, Sena Airi, the OST of the game, and some pillows.

Suzuya – Ryohka

I’m disappointed… no sign of icon. 03. Instead we have a set with a NSFW oppai mouse pad, a Ranka calendar, which see to feature only one illustration, and a keychain. The set is in a funny file, the front with school mizugi and stockings illustration, and the opening side has been cut and designed to look like… the bottom part of the school mizugi! Oppai mouse pad were already quite stunning when I first discovered them, but a mizugi file… I’m simply flabbergasted.

Not included in the set is Suzu:can Vol. 17, which is a collection of hentai doujinshi by Ryohka.

Pixel Phantom – Kamiya Yuu

Pixel Phantasmagoria is an interesting doujinshi for 500¥; it has 14 pages of color illustration, and 30 pages of monochrome. It seems to be original art, as I like them. Maybe I will give a try to this artist.

The rest is Touhou related, with a 20 pages hentai doujinshi, and towels.

Mizukichan – Goto-P

Goto-P is simple like his/her awesome art; there is only one doujin. P6+ is just 20 B5 pages collecting recent artworks. I don’t need anything else, except maybe money now.

Carnelian

So much stuff… that I had to photoshop a bit every sample. First of all, the 25th volume of BENIGYOKUZUI, full color 14 doujinshi with Bayonetta, Macross Frontier, Nyan Koi, Persona 4, Azumanga, Evangelion, Umineko, Bakemonogatari. This could be interesting to get. Then there is a doujinshi with the art of Kao no Nai Tsuki, both color and monochrome which I’m not really interested in.

In fact, I prefer the winter set, featuring idols in a booklet, a bag, a snow ball, with several illustration and a snow ball, in which you can change the background with several illustration, and they are double faced with a calendar at the back. Finally, the set includes 2 random badges. Not in the set is some kind of towel or blanket.

Nick Ninth – Onineko

Onineko will illustrate another doujinshi for Nick Ninth. A B5, 18 pages doujinshi in full color, featuring a story. There is also a CD bundled with it. I have already pre-ordered it on Toranoana and this will be my first doujin from Onineko, yay.

Onineko will also be in a collaboration doujinshi with Asida Cako, Happa, Hara Yuuu and Noasan(?). I don’t know any of these artists, but a quick look at their site is rather reassuring, they are not bad.

Shimeko

This doujinshi is also a bit disappointing, for the simple fact that it’s a collaboration one. It’s 52 B5 pages with artist I have never heard of. You can see the full preview of the doujinshi by clicking on the image; it’s simply too large for my blog xD. The theme is Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, and Summer Wars. I don’t think I will get it.

REI’s ROOM – REI
Private Garden – Tsurusaki Takahiro

REI will have a collaboration with Tsurusaki Takahiro. First of all, there is 2 clear files. REI will illustrate Nene Anegasaki from Love Plus and Tsurusaki illustrate the cute Midori and Milk. No news from GREENWOOD on that end. Then there is a bag, with the same illustration for REI while Tsurusaki drew Bakemonogatari this time.

Then REI will publish a doujin, with 75 pages collecting his sketches for the eroge Magic A Rider

More Love+, with pillow cases, bed sheet, T-shirt.

And to finish, some Touhou, a 20 B5 pages monochrome doujinshi, with a manga inside, and more pillows! Too many pillows for my own good here…

Snow Ring – Dmyo

Dmyo is rather easy. Another Dmyotic, 16 pages. We can expect it to be full color, and it seems to feature Vocaloid, Black Rock Shooter, K-on, Touhou. Otherwise, Dmyotic 3.0 seems to make a reapearance and finally, there will be a DS case. I might get Dmyotic 6.0, at the end to round up my order.

Sugar-Ringo – Juna

A Korean artist I discovered while looking for the C77 artwork on Pixiv. Her style remind me a lot of Dmyo, but otherwise, not much information on the doujinshi for C77, except that the title, Irogami and Donuts Hole, the latter being an illustration book.

And to finish, some Cuteg. First doujinshi is a collaboration between Cuteg and Piah. It’s based on the manga Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai which I really like. But The problem is the lack of information on her doujin, either on her website or her Pixiv. Sweet Impact has the subtitle girl’s collection, so I may pray it’s full color. It might be one of this random doujinshi I might try to get not knowing what the content is… Then Cuteg will have some of her old publication

C77 First Preview

It’s that time of the year again! I first didn’t plan to do any preview for this upcoming Comiket since icie did it for each Comiket with plenty of details and circle, which I don’t always follow. My scanlation teammate did it as well, so it would be quite redundant. But I was contacted recently by Fettgans @ Doujinsuki and asked if I wanted to promote doujinshi in France. This is something which I would like to do, and is the primary reason I will do the preview. While the French translation will be aimed at a broader audience, the one I will put here in English will be more personal and I won’t bother people with details. I will also split these preview in several part as we are in the middle of the updating period meaning not everyone has information about their release. A change from previous update is also the use of Pixiv to spread the update. It’s going to be in random order, and I must remind that I don’t speak Japanese.

Circles – Artists

Gothical Blade – Ruroo

Ruroo must be best known for his/her work on the light novel Mushi-Uta While I have no doujin from him/her, I always keep an eye on this artist as I quite like the art. Invalid Target though seems to be a doujin filled with rough art and some story, no full color.

Pink Chuchu – Mikeou

Mikeou always have a lot of goodies for the Comiket. The C77 set contains 2 adults doujinshi, with 28 B5 pages each. Then there is the Game Collection Box, which has 108 B5 pages… except that only 8 is in full color. Lastly the 9 telephone cards. Specific to the set is the paper bag and the calendar. While the set has an interesting price of 2000¥, I certainly won’t get it as there is a lack of full colour doujinshi.

Sold separately are one dakimakura which I find very cute, but alas, very expensive as well, and a previous doujinshi.

Rocket Guy – Bekkankou

I’m surprised I had this artist in my bookmark since I don’t particularly follow him. Maybe I had him since I collected the CG of Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na and Fortune Arterial. Otherwise, this C77 doujinshi seems to be your standard black and white.

Afterschool of the 5th years – Kantoku

This year has been wonderful for Kantoku’s fan. C76′s doujinshi had around 60 full color pages at a very decent price. Then there is the upcoming release of Kantoku’s first commercial artbookAshiato and of course the C77 set, with one doujinshi, one paper bag and a clear file which I will certainly get as it’s not all expensive, and Kantoku is one of my favorite artist. Also I caught up with the Check Pattern doujinshi collection.

Coconut Bless – Coco Natsuki

I don’t know much about Coco Natsuki. The first time I must have encountered her is in fact while browsing all the auction for a Comic 1. She is not on my must get list, but I always have a few doujinshi to round up my order at the end, and her set seems quite nice. Of course as it’s an image I can’t tell you exactly what is written, but it seems like there is a paper bag, 2 doujinshi, one safe, the other isn’t, and a calendar. Aside of the set, there is also a PSP case.

Kotobukitei – Tohru Adumi

As a follow up of Vanillesose Marchen, here is another full color doujinshi, with 40 pages! I must say that I’m quite interested in it, and the cover is really nice. The cover also look quite unique with a very big cat on it. It seems this doujinshi will be a collection of her artwork she did for trading card game, except in higher resolution.

ZIP – Fumitake Moekibara & Hirorin

Nothing new coming from ZIP. There will be a doujinshi filled with Quiz Magic Academy illustrations, then the bunny mascot will have her own shitajiki and a dakimakura. Then an illustration of Nue from Tayutama and finally a bag with their mascot.

NEKO WORKs – Sayori
NEKO WORKi – ideolo

Let’s get a little abroad with foreign artist Sayori. She is Chinese, she is quite popular, and I already had trouble to find her doujinshi. Anyway for C77, she will release first a B4 calendar, NEKO BIBLE, featuring her catgirl mascot Vanella and Chocola and in all sort of outfit. The previews are available on her website and her Pixiv. The calendar will be sold with a bag for 1500¥. Better say that I will grab it.

In another register, a collaboration with ideolo for Eastern Side, a Touhou themed doujinshi which will be sold with a clear file. Now… this is too bad but I’m fed up with Touhou art as much as Vocaloid since I moderate already an image board which has a daily flood of them ( around 50 per day), so while the art is good I really don’t feel like getting it. There are few exception but I’m seeing too much of them.
Aside of this, there will be also a free distribution of card for the upcoming tiger year and they will resell NEKO PARADISE.

Eternal Phantasia – Capura Lin

To finish this post, Taiwanese artist Capura Lin. This time the news was first available on Pixiv. It will be a 24 B5 pages doujinshi collecting artwork from 2006 to 2009. From the sample I have seen, it will have the illustration from RE:Volte‘s CD cover, and this is already awesome as I really like these covers. She is at the top of my to get list along with some usual artist.

Next post will have information for Yukiwo, RAMI, Shiro, H2S04 as it’s not complete, shops’ good, and plentiful of other artist who didn’t update yet or who I will just add after as this post is getting quite long.

Continuing from the previous release of icon. 01, here is icon. 02, released during summer in 2007, which should correspond with C72. There is one year difference between the 2 doujinshi.However, adverted eyes will easily see a huge improvement in artstyle.

A side note concerning the previews, they are all watermarked because of direct linking. The archive remains non watermarked of course; I hate watermark with a passion. Also, it’s quite an ecchi doujin, you are warned. Not every scan will be featured in this post. [PNG]

Arstyle improves over time with all artist; but the short time frame in which Ryohka improved is quite incredible. Maybe icon. 01 just featured older illustration. icon. 02 features the signed eyes of Ryohka, easily recognizable with the darker part poking inside the lighter bottom. In fact, Ryohka got some awesome fan on Pixiv, Kwasabiyori00D also known as caidychen, who certainly copied from him. Well, the Pixiv profile says all.

The doujinshi starts with a nice sexy illustration, and then we have some artwork from Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka. I’m more interested in original art than the one from that eroge. Now I will just keep the lingerie scans, and the, err, pantsu down image ( nothing visible, but it’s already quite NSFW ). On the image of Minato… you can also see that my page is torn on the right… This is really upsetting :/ Nothing I can’t fix in Photoshop but still.

Who says summer, says mizugi, and the rest of the book is mostly mizugi. Lots of school mizugi. The illustrations are older and date back from 2006 or older. In 2006, Ryohka didn’t have his eyes style yet; and while they were good, they still seems a bit generic.

I just skipped the 2 guests illustrations which are bad in my opinion and ended with these 2 images. That chibi is lovely cute; and in fact, the cover girl is my favorite illustration. Artstyle is just better and definite than the other illustrations in the book. I hope there will be an icon. 03 one day, like during C77 ^^
