It&#8217;s an exclusive one to the magazine ( even though <a href="http://www.amiami.com/">Amiami</a> has/had it) and it came with a few extra. It&#8217;s produced by Clayz and sculpted by Takeshi Miyagawa&#8230; I don&#8217;t know much about figurine, but from what I gathered, good sculptor, but random quality from Clayz. I won&#8217;t  review the quality; since I can&#8217;t compare with high profile figurine from Alter or Good Smile Company ; I don&#8217;t  have any from them. All I can say is that there is some little defect, but it doesn&#8217;t detract me from enjoying these 2 beauties. On the other hand,  I have photos; it&#8217;s the first time I try to take some good picture of my figurines. High resolution photo here: <a href="http://claritism.com/files/figurine/tinklefig1.jpg" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;">Pic1</a> <a href="http://claritism.com/files/figurine/tinklefig2.jpg" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;">Pic2</a> <a href="http://claritism.com/files/figurine/tinklefig1.jpg" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;">Pic3</a></p>
<p><span id="more-255"></span><a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0818.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-257" title="IMG_0818" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0818-300x169.jpg" alt="IMG_0818" width="300" height="169" /></a>Here is what I got.2 separates boxes, and I was surprised to find a cardboard poster ( I have no idea of the japanese name for these ) of my gravatar signed! Not on this photo is the starry night background that I used for some photo. It&#8217;s a nice addition since it makes the setting closer to the artwork.</p>
<p><a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09381.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-259" title="Shantiti" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09381-225x300.jpg" alt="Shantiti" width="225" height="300" /></a>Let&#8217;s start with Shantiti. Long pink twin tails, barefooted, drinking champagne and frilly nightgown&#8230; She is really nice, but I have a preference for Ne-jyu. I will admit, the legs are very nice, and I will always bow in front of Tinkle&#8217;s clothe design. They managed to catch what I love with Tinkle in this figurine. The eyes are nicely painted and does remind of the artstyle. Other part are painted mostly with a mate finish, except the hair.</p>
<p><a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09421.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-261" title="IMG_0942" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09421-225x300.jpg" alt="IMG_0942" width="225" height="300" /></a>Next is Ne-jyu. Long purple haired, with a lolita crown, elbow gloves, thigh highs, drinking a cocktail and a frilly nightgown again. I guess she hits my moe even more than Shantiti. There is some interesting detail about the gloves and the thigh highs. They have a glossy finish and they also casted some purple shadow on it. I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s usual but I assume that figurine normally can cast their own shadow, but here it might be for the lighting color, as in the illustration.</p>
<p><a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09571.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-263" title="IMG_0957" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09571-150x150.jpg" alt="IMG_0957" width="150" height="150" /></a> <a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0958.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-264" title="IMG_0958" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0958-150x150.jpg" alt="IMG_0958" width="150" height="150" /></a> <a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0959.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-265" title="IMG_0959" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0959-150x150.jpg" alt="IMG_0959" width="150" height="150" /></a> <a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09611.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-267" title="IMG_0961" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_09611-150x150.jpg" alt="IMG_0961" width="150" height="150" /></a> <a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0962-copy.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-268" title="IMG_0962 copy" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0962-copy-150x150.jpg" alt="IMG_0962 copy" width="150" height="150" /></a> <a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0964.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-269" title="IMG_0964" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0964-150x150.jpg" alt="IMG_0964" width="150" height="150" /></a></p>
<p>For a Tinkle fan like me, this set is more than I can hope. I didn&#8217;t expect one day to see a figurine from them, but here it&#8217;s. I was in love with the illustration, I&#8217;m in love with the figurine. It&#8217;s really a nice sculpture which is represent nicely their character design.  Also the little extra is really nice, since there was only an avatar sized available.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">As for the photo&#8230; I think the batch I did on the starry night is a bit better. I lack some light on that white background, but I&#8217;m too poor to get a decent setup. I used a Canon IXUS 870, a point and shoot camera, with a custom firmware so that I have a better control of shutter time and flash intensity. And here is the lighting setup.</p>
<p style="text-align: center; "><a href="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0965.JPG" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-255];player=img;"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-270 aligncenter" title="IMG_0965" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/IMG_0965-150x150.jpg" alt="IMG_0965" width="300" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">So, there is one lamp on the right, plus 2 reflectors on top and on the right, made from aluminum foil. Then 2 sheets of glossy paper, one mate, the starry background, a tripod, and not on the picture is a LED light torch which I used as another light source on the left. I used some white tape on my Flash and the light torch so as to diffuse light. I quite like the photo with the starry background. The white one lacks light; I should get an additional light for the left.</p>

<p>This marvelous figurine will certainly be released at the Japan Illustrator Festival, I guess as a premium item. There is another figurine by Suzuhira Hiro, which is from the cover of her last artbook Chronicle, but it doesn&#8217;t scream &#8220;WANT&#8221; as much as this one. To be sold too, are artwork from warious artist and issue of Etsu. For more stuff you can always visit their blog : http://www.petitjeuness.com/blog/ . Meawhile, I will just admire this.</p>

<p>I finally received my package from Japan, small one for once but full of awesome.</p>
<p><span id="more-114"></span>The first figurine is just a bonus from the Dengeki Hime magazine for May, which I get mostly for the posters inside. Some of them are already scanned, so you can have a look at them <a href="http://moe.imouto.org/pool/show/530" target="_blank">there</a>.</p>
<p>Aside of this, the usual suspect: artbooks !</p>
<div id="attachment_116" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 235px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-116" title="Taiwan Teki Shoujo" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/img_0276-225x300.jpg" alt="Taiwan Teki Shoujo" width="225" height="300" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Taiwan Teki Shoujo</p></div>
<p>One I meant to get for some time already, Taiwan Teki Shoujo as its name indicate is an artbook with Taiwanese artist. Notable one is <a href="http://reisama.com/" target="_blank">Rei</a> who is quite well known  in Japan too. But this artbook is also a chance to discover other taiwanese artist. If you want to see the inside, you can always poke at <a href="http://www.pireze.org/blog/?p=4055">Hunting the Elusive</a> . Personally I like the artbook. I don&#8217;t have problem with Taiwanese art, since it&#8217;s as moe as Japanese&#8217;s one.More is always welcomed ! I would have more gripe with manwha though, but that&#8217;s another issue.</p>
<div id="attachment_117" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 235px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-117" title="Lyrical" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/img_0275-225x300.jpg" alt="Lyrical" width="225" height="300" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Lyrical</p></div>
<p>Then, quite a thin one, Lyrical. It&#8217;s Fumitake Moekibara&#8217;s first commercial artbook as far as I know. Not really surprising but one part is the artwork for eroge by Lump of Sugar, <strong>Itsuka, Todoku, Ano Sora Ni</strong> and <strong>Nursery Rhyme.</strong> Then there is the fanart and lastly, a PurismxEgoist part, which consist of artwork by his circle, ZIP. I should be writing another article for the inside.</p>
<div id="attachment_119" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 235px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-119" title="PIxiv Girls Collection" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/img_0277-225x300.jpg" alt="Pixiv Girls Collection" width="225" height="300" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Pixiv Girls Collection</p></div>
<p>Last artbook I got is the Pixiv Girls Collection. It&#8217;s a compilation of the best artwork of the <a href="http://www.pixiv.net/" target="_blank">Pixiv community</a>. I don&#8217;t usually browse Pixiv since I already moderate a board where people post Pixiv&#8217;s artwork over there already.</p>
<p>First thing that strike anyone when they see this artbook is its thickness.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-120" title="thick!" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/img_0278-300x151.jpg" alt="thick!" width="300" height="151" />On the left you can see the two previous artbook stacked, and the Pixiv artbook is on the right. The artbook has 164 pages, and thick smooth paper hence the total size. Cover is by <a href="http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&amp;illust_id=518079" target="_blank">tearfish</a> and sadly it&#8217;s the only illustration by him or her in this artbook. With my recent addiction to Persona 4, I wish there would be some fanart by him/her. Otherwise it&#8217;s a nice choice and recommended artbook. Like most compilation, some art is not up to my taste, but there already quite a lot I like. Pixiv managed to get a good community of artist, so I hope in the future there will be another artbook. Chance are that otherwise, none of them would get a publication unless they make a circle. Once again you can poke at <a href="http://www.pireze.org/blog/?p=11188">Hunting the Elusive</a> for some scan</p>
<p>Last thing which I got some time ago, but didn&#8217;t write anything about because I was quite busy finishing a certain game.</p>
<div id="attachment_121" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 224px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-121" title="Sakura Nananko" src="http://claritism.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/img_0270-214x300.jpg" alt="Sakura Sakura " width="214" height="300" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Sakura Sakura </p></div>
<p>I don&#8217;t usually buy figurine but I made an exception for this one. Gymnastic sure is attractive ^^;</p>
