Unexpected May loot

Posts Tagged ‘ Tinkle ’

Happy belated new year. I intended to make posts for Christmas and New year but I have been quite busy and I wasn’t sure about what to put, so my apologize.
My long awaited artbooks are finally here. Well I have been waiting for this shipment since last month, but as the 100 masters of Bishojo painting was first delayed, then out of stock, I couldn’t receive it in time before I leave my home for 2 weeks. But now that I’m back, I can get it. It’s a rather small loot compared to the madness I unleashed for C77 but this will be seen in time. For now, it’s just small reviews as these artbooks have already been reviewed and I share the same sentiment as their reviewers.
One more preview; and it might be the last one if there is no more updates, as we getting closer to the first Comiket day. My French translation is now available at Doujinsuki. Now everyone I know has put their own articles for the upcoming Comiket, and while there is a redundancy in the information, it’s interesting to see how everyone cover it and the circle they are interested in. Also, Crescent Shop is closed until the 2nd, but I’m too lazy to make a deposit to another deputy, so I guess I will have to wait. Hoefully, I just put my pre-order before they closed ^^. Now it seems that for this third preview, I have quite a number of well known artist this time. Oh and quick warning, this post start with a pantsu collection.

Second step on the road, color space. Short article, and this time it’s not easy to illustrate with examples. To do this, you would need both the digital version and printed version. At least, I can provide a page from one booklet I got from Tinkle.
After sketching and inking, there is the coloring, in SAI, openCanvas, CG-illust, or Photoshop. What will interest us here, is not the software, but the screen on which the artist are drawing.
Here it’s, the Tinkle figurine from Etsu, Shantiti and Ne-Jyu, designed especially for the magazine. It’s an exclusive one to the magazine ( even though Amiami has/had it) and it came with a few extra. It’s produced by Clayz and sculpted by Takeshi Miyagawa… I don’t know much about figurine, but from what I gathered, good sculptor, but random quality from Clayz. I won’t review the quality; since I can’t compare with high profile figurine from Alter or Good Smile Company ; I don’t have any from them. All I can say is that there is some little defect, but it doesn’t detract me from enjoying these 2 beauties. On the other hand, I have photos; it’s the first time I try to take some good picture of my figurines. High resolution photo here: Pic1 Pic2 Pic3
